Results of a specialized exhibition with international participation
«Metallurgy. Moulding - 2007»
On October, 9-12th, 2007, Dnepropetrovsk
The international industrial forum «UkrIndustry» took place From October, 9 till October, 12th, 2007 in Dnepropetrovsk Expo-center «Meteor». Within its frames 2-nd specialized exhibition with the international participation «Metallurgy. Moulding - 2007» took place.

Co-organizer of exhibition: «Union-moulding» ltd., Kiev, Ukraine.
The ceremony of official opening of exhibition «Metallurgy. Moulding - 2007» took place on October, 9th. With words of greeting to participants and visitors of action have addressed - the deputy chairman of Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration Victor Sergeev, director of company «Union-moulding» Vladimir Ezzhev, vice-president of association of founders of Ukraine Vladimir Karginov.
Director of exhibition company Expo-center «Meteor» Valeria Inozemtseva has noted, that the Minister of industrial policy of Ukraine Anatoly Golovko, the head of Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration Victor Bondar, mayor of Dnepropetrovsk Ivan Kulichenko have also sent their salutatory words to participants of exhibition.
Statistical results of an exhibition:
Total area of an exhibition - 806 m2.
Quantity of participants - 55 companies, 11 of them are foreign participants.
Geography of participants - from 15 cities of Ukraine, and also from Russia, Germany, Italy, Netherlands.
Quantity of visitors - 4315 experts.
In comparison with 2006 the total quantity of participants has increased by 42 %. The area of exhibition has grown on 62 %. The share of new participants makes 64 %. The exhibition has been covered in 18 specialized editions.
During all 4 days of work of exhibition the organizers carried out continuous electronic registration of visitors.
The quantity of visitors for four days makes:
1-st day - 931 persons
2-nd day - 1650 persons
3-rd day - 1218 persons
4-th day - 516 persons
The statistics confirms good qualitative structure of visitors:
25,8 % - owners and-or heads of the enterprises
37,7 % - heads of structural divisions, the main experts
25,1 % - technical experts
10,4 % - representatives of science, mass-media
1 % - regional representatives
Among exhibitors there were such giants of branch, as Heinrich Wagner Sinto GmbH (Germany), Laempe (Germany), Kunkel Wagner GmbH (Germany), Carl Zeiss (Germany), Spectro Analytical Instruments (Germany), SM Surfase Treatment (Italy), Dial Engineering (Russian Federation), Joint-Stock Company VITeh-SERVICE (Russian Federation), VNIITTVCH (Russian Federation), UGMK-Dnepropetrovsk and many others.
In his interview Vladimir Ezzhev has shortly summed up the results of several days of dialogue with participants of exhibition «Metallurgy. Moulding - 2007»: «It has been historically determined that it’s very difficult to involve founders into exhibition. But we managed to make it, even in spite of the fact that many manufacturers of moulding came as visitors to estimate this exhibition and to make decision on participation in the following year. All participants-founders are very happy. In the following year the exhibition should be in one and a half times larger».
Responses of exhibitors also mean a lot.
Sorochkin Evgene, the leading expert of «Politeg-Met UÀ», Kiev (foundry manufacture, metallurgy): «The purpose of our participation is the expansion of range of contacts with industrial enterprises of Ukraine. We have a very specific production, but despite of it, during the work of exhibition our stand was visited by representatives of more than 150 profile companies. It gives us very optimistic predictions, that the exhibition will work «excellently» already in the nearest future».
Bogdanova Victoria, regional manager of «Carl Zeiss» company, (sale of the image analysis systems on the basis of metallographical microscopes): «Quality and quantity of visitors much better, than we expected. We are very happy both with the organization of exhibition and the audience which has visited our stand».
Korobov Igor, commercial director of Joint-Stock Company «Dial Engineering», Russia (design, settlement works, software): «It is our first exhibition on the given subjects in the Dnepropetrovsk region, but it has already made a good impression on us. We have received a set of interesting and useful contacts at this exhibition. I think that all of them will work. Many thanks to the company «Union - Foundry» for the invitation to this exhibition».
The following events have been organized within the frames of a forum:
1. The international business-forum «Mechanical engineering. Metallurgy. Moulding - Ukraine 2007» - specially for heads of Ukrainian companies which are carrying out industrial and commercial activity in branch of mechanical engineering, metallurgy and moulding, the exhibition company Expo-center «Meteor» (Ukraine) and Group LOKIS (USA-EC-CIS) have organized a lot of meetings with foreign partners. The companies, which took part in meetings were from Romania, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Ukraine:
Romanian company «OYAL POLTEKS SRL» has been presented by Mr. Selim Ismail and Mr. Mustafa Goekhan Serin. The company is engaged in manufacture of rollers, disks, wheels with polyurethane and rubber covering, polyurethane spare parts for metallurgical, textile, pulp-and-paper, transport and machine-building branches. The meetings have been organized with 13 Ukrainian companies, presented be TOP-MANAGEMENT of the enterprises from various regions of Ukraine.
Czech company «MCR spol.s r.o.» It has been presented by director - Mr. Stanislav Stastny. The company was founded in 1994 as branch establishment of large industrial German manufacturer of the equipment and is engaged in shavings processing ingots from 1000 mm up to 2000 mm for headquarters plant. Also it is engaged in manufacture of details of knitting machines of the big diameter and industrial washing machines, intermediary services in trade - delivery of knitting machines of the big diameter for textile manufacture of jersey. 11 meetings were organized.
German company «BODENPRESSWERK DAADEN GmbH» has been presented by Mrs. Daniela Gerold. The company produces high quality covers and the bottoms for tanks and reservoirs of high pressure and is one of the leading European manufacturers of cold-formed leads. 14 meetings were organized.
The Swiss company «BELLOLI S.A.» has been presented by Mr. Moreno Tschudi. The company is the manufacturer of various kinds of anchors and thrust systems, and also delivers shunting and miner locomotives and all types of trolleys for tunnel constructions, rails and the railway arrows, bearing parts of arches. 9 meetings were organized.
The Austrian company «MAL GmbH» has been presented by Mr. Hannes Nestelberger and Mr. Wladimir Pichler. The company is the manufacturer of industrial boilers working on natural gas, on hydrogen, on the liquid fuel, rotating torches used in rotating furnaces, as well as the equipment for preparation of roads and stony ground with a method of stone crushing. 5 meetings were organized.
2. 3rd scientifically-practical conference «Modernization and reequipment of the enterprises. Effective technologies of repair and restoration of details».
Organizers of conference: Expo-center «Meteor», Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration, «NPP REMMASH» (Dnepropetrovsk), Priazov state technical university (Mariupol), Association of technologists of machine engineers of Ukraine (Kiev), «TM.VELTEK» ltd., (Kiev), Joint stock company «SIMZ» (Simferopol), «Ilnitsky factory ÌSÎ « (Ilnitsa), Dnepropetrovsk center of innovative development.
Target audience of conference: heads of the enterprises, services of the chief engineer, main mechanic, main designer, design organizations, scientific institutes.
3. Seminar-practical work: «The accounting of expenses for manufacture».
Organizer: «Balance-club» ltd.
Target audience of seminar: heads and bookkeepers of industrial enterprises.
4. Seminar «Presentation of new cell ÊSÎ 393 17 VÌ with the divided compartments, safety adequating to increased requirements and reliability».
Organizer: «Southern electrotechnical company» ltd.
According to preliminary results of exhibition, more than 65 % of its participants have confirmed the intention to take part in exhibition next year. Foreign companies which have found dealers in this region, have remained satisfied with exhibition and promised to recommend this event to their compatriots. More than 80 % of exhibitors have agreed with necessity of repositioning of exhibition and possible renaming of it with accent on subjects of foundry manufacture.
According to the organizers’ predictions, the following exhibition should grow up a minimum in 1,5 - 2 times, it will work in conformity with standards of the Global association of exhibition industry (UFI) and will receive the quality symbol «UFI approved event».
